Becker CPA Review: our verdict
Becker is widely treated as the benchmark CPA course, and it is also the most expensive of the main options. It makes most sense when an employer is paying.

What it does well
Reviewers most often single out the task-based simulations. Becker describes them as built to resemble the exam software, with an exhibit pane, a research tool and a spreadsheet, and says its SkillBuilder videos walk through simulations. Third-party roundups put its simulation bank at roughly 400 to 900 or more, depending on the source.
Becker lists 9,000+ multiple-choice questions and 900+ task-based simulations, and third-party counts have varied, so treat older figures with caution. Reviewers also note an AI study assistant and adaptive practice in the course.
Where it falls short
Price is the headline problem. List prices run from $2,499 to $6,349 across five tiers, which is more than UWorld’s entry tier. Becker quotes pass rates that are not independently audited, and we do not rank on them. One third-party review says its answer explanations are less detailed than UWorld’s.
The Pro and Pro+ tiers carry a Pass Guarantee of up to $1,000 ($250 per section), and Becker’s own page says it is open to US-only students, eligible for 12 months from purchase and subject to meeting policy requirements. A competitor’s price comparison lists further conditions, including completing a share of each module’s videos, simulations and questions and scoring at least 50% on practice exams. Becker also lists a full money-back guarantee on Concierge. Read the terms before relying on any of it.
What every Becker CPA review package includes
Becker says every CPA package includes its Exam Day Ready toolkit: digital textbooks, 900+ concept videos, 9,000+ multiple-choice questions, 900+ task-based simulations, simulated and mini exams, and learning support. Every package also includes Newt, Becker’s AI study assistant, and Adapt2U practice tests that adjust to the concepts you need to work on. Pro and above add LiveOnline classes, five success-coaching sessions, five one-on-one tutoring sessions and a year of Becker CPE.
Disciplines, payments and the free trial
Every candidate takes three Core sections and one Discipline. Becker’s unlimited packages include all three Disciplines, and you can switch at any time. Advantage includes one, with a 30-day window to try each before choosing; switching after that costs $299. Becker’s Flex Pay spreads the cost over 6 or 12 months at 0% interest on all CPA packages, or 24 months on Advantage. A 14-day free trial lets you try the course first, and Becker says it works with more than 2,900 firms, companies and universities on reduced-rate or no-cost access.

- You want the largest question bank: Gleim lists 12,000+ multiple-choice questions.
- You want a low monthly cost or a supplement to another course: NINJA and Kesler are subscription options.

One roundup notes that while the Pro promotion was live it cost the same as Advantage at list price, which made Pro the better value. On October 13, 2026, Pro was $2,692, only $193 more than Advantage, while adding unlimited access, live classes and the Pass Guarantee. Promotions end, so compare at checkout.

Is Becker worth the money?
