Editorial policy
How we decide what to publish, how we correct it when we get it wrong, and what a provider can and cannot influence.
Independence
Providers do not see a review, a score or a ranking position before it publishes. No provider has editorial input or approval rights, and we do not accept payment for placement, wording or rank.
Ownership is disclosed where it matters. For example, UWorld acquired Surgent on April 30, 2026, and also owns Roger CPA Review, so two of the CPA courses we cover now share an owner. Ownership does not change a score or a ranking position.
What our reviews are based on
Reviews apply our published rubric to each provider’s published course details and third-party reviews. We have not run hands-on tests of the courses. Facts about the exams themselves, such as fees, requirements and dates, come from the exam body or state board where they publish them, and we link to the source.
Where a page is based on published details and reports rather than hands-on testing, it says so at the top. Prices, packages and exam rules change often, so a provider’s live checkout and the official exam site are always the final word.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we fix it in place, and if the error changed a recommendation we say so at the top of the page with the date. We do not silently edit a review to make a past position look better.
If you have found an error, tell us. Prices and exam rules are the things most likely to have moved since we last checked.
Sponsored content
We do not publish it. There are no sponsored reviews, no paid guest posts and no advertorial on this site. If that ever changes it will be labeled at the top of the page in the same size type as the headline.
Common questions
Can a provider get a review changed?
They can submit a factual correction, and we will verify and fix it. They cannot change a score, a ranking or a criticism they dislike.
How do I report an error?
Email hello@mocktestprep.com with the page and what is wrong.
