About MockTestPrep
An independent exam-prep research site. We explain requirements, costs and exam changes from official sources, compare the courses, and say plainly what each page is based on.
Why this site exists
Exam-prep reviews are often dominated by pages that repeat marketing claims. The most-marketed course gets assumed to be the best one, and candidates spend thousands on that assumption.
We publish the rubric behind our scores so you can disagree with the weights; it is on the methodology page. Where a page is based on published course details rather than hands-on testing, it says so.
What we cover
We cover about 40 exams across accounting and finance, law, medicine and nursing, pharmacy, engineering, licensing, admissions and language testing, from the CPA and NCLEX to the bar exam and TOEFL. The full list is on the home page. Coverage is deepest where official sources publish the most, and some newer sections have fewer course reviews.
Who we are
MockTestPrep is a small editorial team, and we are open about what that means. No small team can sit 40 exams or test every course hands-on, so we don’t claim to. Instead we research each exam from its official body or state board, check course details on providers’ own pages, and label everything else as reported.
We don’t put credentials or license numbers on our pages, and we don’t ask you to trust a name. Every page links to its sources and states what it is based on, so you can check the facts yourself. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it.

Common questions
Who writes the reviews?
The MockTestPrep editorial team. Each page states what it is based on, such as official sources, a provider’s published details, or labeled third-party reports.
Which exams do you cover?
About 40. Each exam has a guide built from official sources; most also have course reviews and comparisons, and the depth varies by exam. See the home page for the full list.
Do you test the courses yourselves?
Not hands-on. Our reviews apply a published rubric to each provider’s own published details and labeled third-party reports, and each review says so at the top.
Can I suggest a course to review?
Yes. Email hello@mocktestprep.com with the course and the exam it is for.
