DAT score release: when you get your results
DAT scores are reported electronically within three to four weeks of your test date. They’re posted to your DENTPIN account and sent to the schools you chose when you applied, plus ADEA AADSAS and, for Texas schools, TMDSAS.
Source: ADA, DAT 2026 Candidate Guide (updated August 4, 2026). Checked October 12, 2026.
Where your scores go
- Your DENTPIN account, where you can see your results.
- Every school you selected on your application, at no extra cost.
- ADEA AADSAS, if you chose any dental school, and TMDSAS if you chose a Texas school.
- Your advisor, free, if you asked for that when applying.
If you’ve tested more than once, schools see your full testing history. Scores can’t be cancelled or voided at your request once you’ve started the test.
Common questions
Can I send scores to more schools later?
Yes, for $55 per report through the Requests tab in your DENTPIN account. Reports to schools chosen on your application were free.
What's a good score?
There’s no official passing score. Each school sets its own expectations; the ADA’s DAT User Manual publishes percentile norms to help you interpret your score.
