DAT Destroyer review: the hard-practice book

DAT Destroyer, by Dr. Jim Romano of Orgoman, is a book of DAT practice questions in biology, general and organic chemistry and math, deliberately harder than the real exam. The 2026 edition is $189.95, about $75 less when bought with Math Destroyer, and you keep it for good. Orgoman’s YouTube channel adds hundreds of free solution videos.

What stands out

Tough questions. Destroyer is designed to be harder than the DAT, so the real test feels easier.
No expiry. A one-off purchase, unlike 90-day subscriptions.
Free video solutions on Orgoman’s YouTube channel.
Long-running: published since 2006 and updated each year.

What to watch for

Not a full course. No lessons, no Perceptual Ability or Reading Comprehension practice, and no simulated tests.
Buy the current year. Older editions circulate secondhand; the 2026 edition reflects current content.
Best as a supplement to a course like DAT Bootcamp or Booster.
