Free DAT resources
The best free DAT material comes from the ADA itself: official practice questions, the Perceptual Ability instructions, the full content outline and the score norms. If you qualify for a partial fee waiver, it also includes one free full-length official practice test.

Official sample questions showing the question types on each section. The ADA notes they show the types of questions, not how you'll score.
→The ADA strongly encourages reading the instructions for all six PAT subtests before test day.
→The full topic list for every section, including the updated organic chemistry specifications.
→Average scores and percentile norms, so you can see where a practice score would place you.
→Eligible first-time candidates get 50% off the exam fee and one free full DAT practice test.
→How to use them
- Start with the content outline to see every topic you need.
- Use the sample questions early to learn the format, but don’t rely on them alone; the ADA cautions against limiting preparation to its practice questions.
- Learn the PAT instructions before you practice so test day holds no surprises.
