Washington PE license requirements
Since August 1, 2026, Washington’s Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors has separated the timing of the exams from the experience requirement: you register directly with NCEES and can take the exams before completing your engineering experience. The experience requirement still has to be met before you can be licensed.
