How we rank PE prep
Our PE prep picks are based on what each provider publishes: which disciplines they cover, course formats, practice tools, guarantees and price. We have not run hands-on tests, so we don’t give star scores, and we only review providers whose details we can source.
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Your exact exam | PE Civil alone is five exams; courses must match your depth and design standards. |
| Format | Live classes, OnDemand video or self-study. |
| Practice | Worked problems and CBT-style exams using the NCEES handbook. |
| Guarantee | Which formats it covers and what you get. |
| Price | From providers’ own stores where possible. |
What we don’t do
- We don’t claim hands-on testing we haven’t done.
- We don’t accept payment for picks; we currently earn no commission from any PE prep provider.
- We don’t rank providers we can’t source (such as some smaller PE courses listed only on affiliate sites).
