South Dakota PE license requirements
In South Dakota you apply to the Board of Technical Professions for the PE by exam ($100), and your references must submit the board’s Exam Reference Form before you take the PE. The board approves FE candidates before NCEES registration too. Education and experience requirements are set by SDCL 36-18A and ARSD 20:38; ask the board whether you can sit the PE before your experience is complete.
