Rhode Island PE license requirements
Since February 1, 2023, Rhode Island’s State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers no longer requires an application before the PE: you register directly with NCEES and may take the PE before obtaining your experience. For registration, you need at least four years of experience under a registered PE, passing FE and PE scores, an NCEES Record (no exceptions), a $100 application fee and a $300 registration fee.
