North Carolina PE license requirements
Since November 1, 2016, North Carolina candidates register for the PE directly with NCEES; if you meet the education requirement and have passed the FE, you can take the PE before gaining your experience. After passing and meeting the experience requirement (which depends on your degree), you apply to the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors: $100 for a North Carolina-only application, or through an NCEES Record with no extra state fee.
