Montana PE license requirements
In Montana you apply to the Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors for licensure by exam ($75), and the board approves your eligibility before you register with NCEES; don’t register until you get written approval. Applications need engineering experience matched to your degree, five references (three from US-licensed PEs) and the board’s own experience sheets, because the board won’t review the experience in an NCEES Record.
