Mississippi PE license requirements

Since February 2020, Mississippi has decoupled the PE from experience: qualifying candidates register for the PE directly with NCEES, without applying to the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors first. You then apply for licensure ($75 under the board’s 2026 fee schedule) with five references, at least three of them PEs. If your only degree is in engineering technology, you aren’t eligible for PE licensure in Mississippi.
