Louisiana PE license requirements
Louisiana has long allowed engineers to take the PE before completing their experience, per NSPE. Licensure through the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) requires an engineering degree (usually ABET-accredited), the FE and PE exams and four years of engineering experience; after passing the PE and gaining the experience, you apply through the board’s online system.
