Indiana PE license requirements
Since March 2026, Indiana candidates with an ABET-accredited bachelor’s in engineering (or a qualifying master’s or doctorate) can register for the PE directly with NCEES, without first applying to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA); Indiana’s board described this as letting applicants sit the PE before finishing their experience. You then apply for registration ($300) with about four years of experience, five references and Indiana’s Part III exam.
