Delaware PE license requirements
Delaware is unusual: engineering licensure is run by the Delaware Association of Professional Engineers (DAPE), not a state agency. Applicants are reported to need five professional references (three of them active PEs), about four years of experience under a PE before taking the PE exam, and a completed Delaware ethics and regulations questionnaire. Licenses renew every two years, on June 30 of even-numbered years.
Sources: licensing guides and application summaries, as reported; we couldn’t check DAPE’s own pages for this update. Confirm everything with DAPE (dape.org) before applying. Checked October 11, 2026.
