LSAT score release dates 2026-2027
LSAC releases scores for each LSAT administration on a fixed date, at 9 a.m. Eastern Time, through your LSAC JD Services account. Your score only comes out on time if your LSAT Argumentative Writing sample is approved and your account has no holds.

What can delay your score
- No writing sample. First-time test takers must complete LSAT Argumentative Writing, and LSAC must approve it, before the score is released. It opens in your account eight days before your test, and LSAC says processing can take up to three weeks, so do it early.
- Holds on your account. Any hold stops the release until it is cleared.
Cancelling or previewing your score
- Cancel: you can cancel your score within six calendar days of your test date, through JD Services or by contacting LSAC.
- Score Preview: lets you see your score before deciding whether to keep it. It costs $46 if you buy it before testing starts, or $87 in the window after testing. You then have six calendar days from score release to cancel or keep the score.
- Cancelled scores, including those cancelled through Score Preview, still count toward the retake limits.
Common questions
When do law schools see my score?
At the same time you get it, unless you bought Score Preview. With Score Preview, schools see it only after you choose to keep it or the six-day preview period ends.
How long after the test do scores come out?
About three weeks: in the 2026-27 testing year, each score release date is roughly three weeks after the last test date of that administration.
