How we rank LSAT prep courses

Our LSAT course picks are based on what each provider publishes: its prices, plans, official practice material, live teaching and guarantees. We have not run hands-on tests of these courses, so we do not give them star scores. We say which course fits which kind of student, and why.

What we look at

Factor Why it matters for the LSAT
Official practice material Real LSAT questions predict your score best. We check how many official PrepTests and questions a course gives you.
Total cost We count the full price, including LSAC’s LawHub Advantage fee that most courses require, and monthly billing over a realistic study period.
Live teaching Some students need classes and accountability. We note how much live instruction each plan includes.
Guarantees and refunds We read the conditions, not just the headline.
Price transparency Courses that publish clear prices are easier to plan around. We say when a provider’s own pages disagree or do not show prices.
Fit with the current LSAT Courses should reflect the test as it is now: no Logic Games since August 2024 and the new interface since August 2026.

Our criteria. Each review links to the provider’s own pages we used.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t claim hands-on testing we haven’t done.
  • We don’t accept payment to change a pick or a review. We do not currently earn commissions from any LSAT provider; if that changes, our affiliate disclosure will say so.
  • We don’t copy other review sites’ ratings. Where a price is only available from a review site, we label it “as reported”.

How often we check

Every review shows the date we last checked the provider’s pages. LSAT prep prices change often, so always confirm at checkout.
