How we rank bar prep
Our bar prep picks are based on what each provider publishes: coverage of your exam (legacy UBE, NextGen or a state exam), practice questions, essay feedback, guarantees, price and availability. We have not run hands-on tests, so we do not give star scores.
What we look at

| Guarantees | We say whether it’s a free repeat or money back, and the conditions. |
| Claims | We flag provider pass rates based on their own surveys and affiliate-sourced awards. |
What we don’t do
- We don’t claim hands-on testing we haven’t done.
- We don’t accept payment for picks; we currently earn no commission from any bar prep provider.
- We don’t use one provider’s comparison pages as evidence about another’s prices.
