Watch out for fake GED sites
GED Testing Service says the official online test can only be taken through your GED.com account. Sites offering a GED you can earn entirely online without a proctor, or a diploma without testing, are not the real GED. Kaplan’s GED guide makes the same point: any internet-based test that claims to be the GED test is not the actual test. If a site isn’t GED.com or your state’s official page, check before you pay.
Our plain-English guides to these pages
Official pages can be detailed, so we’ve written guides that walk through them, each with links back to the source and the date we checked it: format and scoring, cost by state, how to sign up, GED Ready and taking the GED online.
