NCLEX-PN prep: what the four providers offer for practical nurses
Some NCLEX prep reviews, including at least one major comparison site, focus on the RN exam. Of the four providers we cover, we could confirm a PN-specific product for Archer Review and SimpleNursing. UWorld says it serves PN candidates too, and we could not confirm a PN product from Kaplan.

Question counts and prices are as the providers list them, and in-app store prices can differ from the website.
A gap in the reviews
At least one major independent review site states plainly that its NCLEX prep reviews focus on RN courses rather than PN. That means rankings you see elsewhere, including ours on the RN pages, may not carry over to the PN products. A PN student should compare the PN product specifically, not assume the RN verdict applies.
How to choose while the evidence is thin
- Count PN questions, not RN ones. Providers advertise RN and PN counts differently. Look for the PN number.
- Check Next Gen practice for PN. The exam includes Next Gen items for practical nurses, so the product should too.
- Use free trials and demos where offered, since we have not tested any of these products.
- Ask your program. Some practical nursing programs include exit-exam and NCLEX-PN review materials.

Why are there no scores here?
We have not scored any PN product. Our RN scores do not transfer, because the products and question banks differ. We will add PN scores only where we can base them on PN-specific information.
Can I use the RN reviews for PN?
The RN review pages cover the RN products. Use them for pricing context and provider background, then check the PN listing before you buy.
