NCLEX in New Mexico: online-only applications and a separate re-exam application
The New Mexico Board of Nursing accepts online applications only. Under its regulation 16.12.2, you submit an initial exam application and fee through the Nurse Portal and register with Pearson VUE. If you need to retest, a separate re-examination application and fee go through the same portal.

Submit the initial exam application and fee through the Board's Nurse Portal. The Board only accepts online applications.
Register online or by telephone with Pearson VUE and pay $200. A guide says giving Pearson VUE an email address speeds up ATT delivery.

Once the Board has your completed application, it directs Pearson VUE to email your ATT.
The permit file

Common questions
What if I fail?
The Board lists a re-exam application and fee in the Nurse Portal for domestic and international applicants, and you register with Pearson VUE again.
Is there a limit on attempts?
One guide reports that New Mexico does not permit more than three NCLEX-RN attempts. Confirm the current rule with the Board before relying on it.
