3
Education verification

Your school sends a completed nursing program verification form and an official transcript directly to the Board.

4
Register with Pearson VUE

When your application is approved and you have registered, the Board electronically notifies Pearson VUE that you are eligible. Pay $200.

5
Receive your ATT and test

Pearson VUE issues your ATT about 48 hours after the Board enters your eligibility. Call Pearson VUE to schedule. Results cannot be given by phone by the Board.

The temporary permit

The Board’s instructions list a temporary permit fee of $0. To be eligible, you must not have failed the NCLEX-RN or failed to appear for an examination you registered for. If you are unsuccessful on the NCLEX-RN, the temporary permit becomes invalid. After you pass, your permanent license is issued.
