Common questions
Do I get a refund if I cancel?
Review sites citing ETS’s GRE Information Bulletin report that cancelling at least four days before your test refunds half the fee, and later cancellation refunds nothing. Check the Bulletin for the current policy.
Does testing at home cost less?
No. ETS charges the same fee for the at-home test and the test-center test.
Why do some sites still say $220?
ETS raised the fee on August 1, 2026. Guides written before then still show $220.
