Help with exam fees
- College Board fee reduction: $37 off per exam for students with significant financial need; schools are expected to waive their $9 rebate, so the usual cost is $53.
- State funding: some states pay more. In 2026, Texas fee-reduced students paid $26 per exam and New Jersey students $8.
- New courses: for 2026-27, unused or canceled exam fees are waived for AP Business with Personal Finance and AP Cybersecurity.
Ways to save without a code
- Use College Board’s free material and Khan Academy first.
- Buy one plan that covers all your subjects if you’re taking several APs.
- Ask your teacher what your school already provides.
