The FNP prep discounts we could confirm on providers’ and boards’ own pages are mostly price cuts, guarantees and member exam fees rather than coupon codes: Fitzgerald lists its Online package at $449, down from $599, and its On-Demand package at $769 against a $1,035 value; APEA gives live-course attendees a free repeat within a year; UWorld’s trial gives 50 questions free; and joining AANP or ANA saves $75 to $100 on the exam itself. The membership discount on the exam
The most reliable FNP saving is on the exam fee. NPCB’s handbook says membership isn’t required to certify, but AANP and AAENP members pay $240 instead of $315. ANCC’s FNP-BC page lists $295 for ANA members (not e-members), $340 for AANP members and $290 for AANP student members, against $395. Weigh the membership cost against the discount, and join before you apply, since the fee is set when you submit.
Ways to save without a code
- Start with free material: ANCC’s 25 sample questions, NPCB’s blueprint and UWorld’s trial.
- Ask your program what board review it provides; UWorld sells to programs at bulk pricing.
- Buy a question bank only if you don’t need a full course; Fitzgerald’s QBank is $179.
- Use the guarantees: Fitzgerald and APEA both let you retake free if you don’t pass.
- Pass first time: an NPCB retake is the full fee again, and ANCC retakes wait 60 days.
Watch out for
- Coupon sites listing codes the providers don’t show; we list only offers on providers’ own pages.
- Guarantees with conditions: APEA’s requires full live attendance; read Fitzgerald’s terms.
- Old prices: Fitzgerald’s Online package was $599 before its current listing.
