How to apply for the CIA exam
Create a profile in The IIA’s CCMS, apply to the CIA program with your documents and pay the application fee, wait for approval, then register and pay for each exam part and schedule it with Pearson VUE, at a test center or online.

Create a CCMS profile
The IIA's Certification Candidate Management System.

Apply to the CIA program
Upload proof of education, a character reference and ID; pay $120 (member) or $240 (nonmember).

Wait for approval
You can't register for a part until your application is approved.

Register for a part
Pay for one part at a time: Part 1 $310 / $445; Parts 2 and 3 $280 / $415 each.

Schedule with Pearson VUE
Book a Pearson VUE test center or online proctoring (online adds a $115 fee).
