ABFM prep discounts and deals: what’s real right now
Last checked October 19, 2026 · Sources: AAFP’s board review prices and free questions; Rosh Review’s family medicine and group discount pages; UWorld ABFM; ABFM dates and deadlines. Offers change; confirm at checkout.
The ABFM prep discounts we could confirm on providers’ and ABFM’s own pages are membership and resident pricing, group pricing and guarantees rather than coupon codes. AAFP members get 1,360 board-style questions free and residents pay $1,045 for the Board Review Express livestream instead of $1,435. Rosh Review’s $279 bank comes with a pass guarantee and group discounts for 10 or more. None of these links earn us a commission.

Save on ABFM’s own fees
- Apply by the first deadline (January 19, 2027 for spring) to avoid the $100 late fee.
- Withdraw 30+ days before your exam to avoid the cancellation fee, or 5+ days before to avoid the seat fee.
- Annual certification fee hasn’t increased since 2012, per ABFM, and ABFM’s 2026 booklet says it includes two exam attempts.
- Ask your residency whether it pays the $1,300 exam fee or provides board review.
Watch out for
- Coupon sites listing codes providers don’t show; we list only offers on providers’ own pages.
- Guarantee conditions: read Rosh Review’s terms before relying on its guarantee.
- Buying the wrong bank: Rosh Review sells separate resident, certification and FMCLA banks.
