The cheapest way to prepare for the MPJE
NABP’s MPJE competency statements and sample items are free, and its official Pre-MPJE or Pre-UMPJE practice exam costs $75. State-specific practice tests are sold separately, for example about $130 for Texas from PharmacyExam.com. Your pharmacy school may also run a law review, so ask before you buy a full course.

Ways to pay less
- Ask your school for Pre-MPJE vouchers or a law review; NABP sells vouchers in bulk to schools.
- Check whether your state uses the UMPJE: if you need licenses in several UMPJE states, one exam plus $105 score transfers is cheaper than separate state MPJEs.
- Pass first time: a retake means paying the application and exam fees again.
