FE exam dates: year-round at Pearson VUE

The FE has no fixed national test dates. It’s a computer-based exam offered year-round at Pearson VUE test centers: you register in MyNCEES, choose your exam location, then pick from the available dates. NCEES limits you to one attempt per testing window and three in 12 months.

Picking a date

• Test near graduation: recent graduates tend to pass at higher rates.
• Check board deadlines if your board requires an application first.
• New specifications are expected from July 2027; if you’ll test around then, check which version applies.
