- Curriculum included. The FAQ says the official digital curriculum is included in the exam registration fee.
- Scholarships. A scholarship page for eligible full-time students says the Level I standard fee of $1,075 is reduced to $295.
- Older figures. Pages from earlier years list lower fees, such as $295 to $770 for Level I, which no longer match the Association’s current schedule. An older version of the Association’s FAQ also shows $625, $825 and $1,225, so confirm the amount for your window on its registration page before paying.
Getting the charter
- Pass all three levels. The Association says you then need 3 years of approved work experience and 3 acceptable references. Without sitting the exams, it says you need 5 years.
- Professional Membership. Charterholders must also be approved for Professional Membership and in good standing. A study guide lists annual dues of $325.
- CFA charterholders. A study guide says active charterholders may waive Level I and start at Level II.
