UWorld CFA review: the question-bank option
UWorld’s CFA courses are the old Wiley CFA materials, bought by UWorld in 2023 and rebuilt around a large question bank with visual explanations. It is priced from $299 per level for the question bank alone, and its top package gives access until you pass.

What stands out
The question bank is the center of the product, with performance analytics, custom flashcards and a mobile app so that short sessions still count. Higher tiers add digital or printed study guides, video lessons, a study planner and UAsk, an AI study assistant built into the course.
On mock exams, UWorld sells them in steps: a single full mock for $59, two on the Advanced tier, and up to five on Elite according to UWorld’s own page.
What to watch for
UWorld does not offer a money-back guarantee on any tier. The Elite package’s access-until-you-pass is its safety net, which helps if you retake but does not refund you. The cheapest tiers have no mock exams, so budget for at least Advanced if you want full-length practice.

Is UWorld the same as Wiley CFA?
Yes. UWorld acquired Wiley’s CFA exam preparation courses in 2023 and sells them under its own name. The Wiley CFA name is no longer used.
Does UWorld cover the 2027 curriculum?
UWorld sells courses for both the 2026 and 2027 exam windows. For February 2027 and later, choose the 2027 edition.
The bottom line
UWorld is a strong choice if you learn by doing questions and want a course you can use on your phone. Elite is the package that makes the most sense for a first attempt, because access does not run out if you need a second sitting.
