How to register for the MCAT in 2027
Registration for every 2027 MCAT date opens October 20, 21 or 22, 2026, depending on where your test center is. Sign in with your existing AAMC account, fill in your details ahead of time, and be ready to pay $360 ($145 with fee assistance) when your region opens.

If you need fee assistance, apply first. The AAMC asks for materials at least five business days before registration opens; counting back from the first opening day, October 20, that means by Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Approval must come before you schedule, and benefits are not retroactive.
Sign in to the MCAT Registration System with the AAMC account you already have. The AAMC says not to create a new one.
The AAMC recommends filling in the first five tabs of the registration system before opening day, with your name matching your ID exactly.
Registration opens October 20, 21 or 22 at noon ET, by test-center location. The AAMC suggests logging in no more than 15 minutes before it opens.
Pick your test date and center and pay by American Express, Visa, Discover or Mastercard. Registration is processed immediately and cannot be reversed.
Changes cost $55 to $210 depending on timing, and nothing can be changed in the last 10 days.
