Allen Keele CISA SuperReview: a streamlined course with the author on the phone

Allen Keele’s CISA SuperReview, sold by Certified Information Security, is a focused online course that aims to replace the long Review Manual route: 650+ slides, 900+ practice questions in 62 short exams, and four 150-question timed finals. It costs $795.95 for 180 days, about $597 with the 25% code the store advertises, and you can call Keele himself with questions.

Prices, inclusions and terms from Certified Information Security’s CISA SuperReview store page, checked October 12, 2026. Study-time and student-count claims are the provider’s own. We have not tested it hands-on, so this review has no score.

What stands out

  • Direct access to the author. Questions are answered by Allen Keele, including one-to-one phone mentoring.
  • Exam-focused. Content is streamlined to the exam; the provider says most students finish in 30 to 40 hours, against 100 to 150 hours typical with the Review Manual.
  • Lots of practice checkpoints. 62 short practice exams across the domains, plus four full-length timed simulations.
  • Simple guarantee. If you don’t pass within the first six months, you get a free six-month extension, even if you didn’t finish the course.
  • CPE credit. A 40-credit certificate on completion, useful if you hold another credential.
  • Free demo. You can try a real lesson before buying.

What to watch for

  • The clock starts at purchase. 180 days run from the day you buy, whether or not you start, and can’t be paused.
  • No downloads. It’s a subscription; materials and your completion certificate aren’t available after it expires.
  • Strict completion standard. Completion, and the CPE certificate, require 95% or more on every domain and final practice exam.
  • Smaller question bank than ISACA’s 1,070-question QAE database; many candidates use both.
  • Slide-based teaching may feel less polished than larger providers’ video platforms.
