Scheduling to enlist
There’s no public sign-up page for enlistment testing. A recruiter from the branch you’re interested in schedules your ASVAB at a Military Entrance Processing Station or a Military Entrance Test site, or registers you for the at-home PiCAT if you’ve never tested. Each branch site above has a link to find a recruiter.
Why official ASVAB links beat prep sites
Many prep sites still repeat old ASVAB figures. In our checks, we found sites listing outdated question counts and time limits, and branch minimum scores that the branches themselves have since changed, such as older Coast Guard and Air Force minimums. When a number matters to your plans, check it on the official page above and confirm it with your recruiter.
These pages are detailed, so we’ve written plain-English guides that walk through them: our ASVAB scores and format guide explains the Fact Sheet and score pages, our test day guide covers What to Expect, our PiCAT guide explains the at-home rules, and our Army, Air Force and Coast Guard score guides go deeper into each branch’s requirements. Each guide links back to the official page it’s based on, with the date we last checked it.
