GMAT pass rate: there isn’t one. Here’s what your score means
The GMAT has no pass mark. You get a total score from 205 to 805, in 10-point steps, with Quant, Verbal and Data Insights weighted equally, plus a percentile rank. GMAC recalibrated the scale when the current exam launched, so scores don’t match the old 200-800 GMAT point for point.

Comparing old and new scores
GMAC reset the scale for the current exam to a more normal distribution. Guides citing GMAC’s concordance report that a 715 on the current GMAT corresponds to about 760 on the old exam, and that a 605 is around the 72nd percentile. Use GMAC’s official concordance table if a school asks you to compare.
What counts as a good score
It depends on your target programs. Compare your score with the class profiles they publish; many schools now report scores on the 205 to 805 scale.
