CPE: continuing professional education

CPE is not an exam, so we do not cover it with an exam guide. It is the continuing education that licensed professionals complete to keep a credential.

Requirements, hours and approved providers are set by the licensing body that issues your credential, such as a state board of accountancy for CPAs, so check with it directly. Several companies sell CPE courses, including Surgent, which is now part of UWorld. We have not reviewed any CPE provider.
